California 2010

We had a great vacation in June to Disneyland, Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo and Sea World. We had a blast and my kids enjoyed everything. They did awesome on the long car drive to and from we didn't even have to used the DVD player til the last 6 hours coming home.

We got the kids autograph books for the characters to sign when we met them and it made it a lot of fun. Jeff says he should have gotten a book for me cause I might have been a little more excited then the kids.

I have been waiting for 10 years to go to Disneyland and it finally happened and it was worth all the wait. It was great to see everything for the first through my kids eyes. My mom went with us which made it even more fun.

Harrison and Weston's favorite ride was the Jungle Cruise are we surprised...No anything with animals is right up their alley. Olivia's favorite ride was Splash Mountain even though it was late and we got DRENCHED. Weston also love the Tea Cups he laugh through the whole ride.
Jeff's favorite ride surprisingly was Indian Jones (he does not like rides). By the end of the first day Jeff was already talking about when we go back. He loved Fantasyland all the ride were just his size. I am sticking to my favorite of all time Space Mountain which my brave Olivia rode with me.
The kids had fun watching the parades and Fantasmic at night. Olivia and Harrison even danced in the "CELEBRATION" parade and did the conga line.
We had fun in the Bugs Life area in California Adventure, but we found that California Adventure is a little big for our young ones.

At the end of our second day we were traveling back to our hotel and we were Rear ended on the freeway and our van was totaled..(by Disney employee to say the least), not exactly the adventure we were thinking of for our family vacation. We spent half a day dealing with insurance and getting rentals to finish our vacation and to get us home.

Then the next day we went to Universal Studios..again we feel that Universal is made more the adults, not a lot for my kids to get involved in except we did enjoy Shrek 4D and it was fun to see Shrek, Fiona, Alex from Madagascar and my favorite I Love Lucy. When we were done there we traveled down to our favorite vacation spot San Diego. We went to the Zoo where Weston loved see his favorite thing Pandas and of course all of the animals. Everywhere we went my kids need a map, so they could make sure they didn't miss any and of course for when they got home they could play ZOO, Disneyland, & Sea World.

Sea World was cool, but not as cool as it used to be since the trainer was killed a few months back they have had to change a lot of things. The trainers are no longer in the water with whales. So that means no diving off the nose of the whale or them being pushed around the pool by the whale. It was cool, but not as cool as it used to be.

We enjoyed our vacation and the time were able to be together as a family. We were glad my mom came along not only to help us, but to enjoy vacation with us. Once we got home we really needed a vacation to recover, we felt like we were constantly moving from one place to another which we were. We decided next time we omit Universal and add in a day at the beach!!!

Hippity Hop Grad!!!

Harrison graduated from pre-school on May 13,2010. He is now ready to advance to Kindergarten. We already know he will be in Miss Joy's AM class next year and he is excited to go to school. He keeps asking me when he will go to kindergarten.

Harrison had an awesome time at the "HiPpTy HoP PrEsChOoL". He loved his teacher Mrs. Brooke.

They sang many songs they had learned throughout the year, such as the days of the week, ABC's forwards and backwards. They also recited the Plead of Alligiance and counted in english and spanish.

Harrison was quite the ladies man, which wasn't very hard since he was the only boy in his class. He loved going to school and I am sure he will like Kindergaten even more, where he can find some boys to talk about dinosaurs and animals with.

I can not believe he is going to Kindergaten next year. He is getting so big and is always wanting to learn.

GREYSON PHILLIPS

Well I was scheduled to be started on Thursday night/Friday morning at mid-night, but little did I know that the cramps I was having at 11 pm were really labor pains. When we got to the hospital they became more regular. They checked me into my room and started to get me settled at about 12:20 am. When the nurse finally checked me I was a 6, which was a complete surprise to me since I have never made it past a 2 on my own.

Well some little guy was in a real hurry to get here, I guess he heard I was kicking him out an decided he was going to beat me and everyone to it. Well I got my epidural which was a waste of money considering it never took and it was the most painful of any epidural I have ever had and the nurse was slower then molasses in giving it to me. Less 10 minutes after I got the epidural my water broke and he was coming regardless of whether my doctor was there or not. They pulled the doctor from the room next door to come and deliver him. My doctor walked in about 5 minutes after he was born. From this delivery compared to my others, I would not recommend going all natural...go for the drugs and make sure they work!Ready or not here he is GREYSON PHILLIPS SAUNDERS weighing in at 7lbs 13 oz, and 21 inches long.

Liv and boys were excited to meet their new brother. Harrison acted shy and nervous, he was very proud to get another brother. Liv I think could hold him all day if he didn't need to eat.

Weston still isn't sure what he thinks it is a little hard going from having mom's attention all the time to having to share me, but he still thinks we should keep him. His thing today was "He's Toot".

I don't think we will ever get the smile off Harrison's face....at least not until he starts getting into his things.

We are glad to have little Greyson, become part of our family. A new life in the family, makes you realize how precious they all are. We pondered this little guys name for along time, he was the hardest one for us to name. He is named after his dad and grandpa through the name Phillips, in giving him this name we wondered what time he spent with our loves ones on the other side especially his Grandpa Saunders and wonder what things he told him and taught him before he left Heaven to join us. Grandpa Saunders was very proud of his Initials and put them on anything that belong to him. Including his art company GPS art. We hope Greyson will be as proud of his name and initials as his Papa Saunders.

"The waiting game"

Ok, so the laundry is done, the clothes are in the drawers, the bags are pack and the we are all anxious, but one little guy wants to take his time.
We are all ready for this baby to be born, but he seems to want to take his time. He is quite comfortable in my ribs (I think he thinks that is the way out.). I have about 2 weeks left but he is measuring a week ahead. So I am hoping to not have to wait 2 weeks before we get to meet him.
The kids got to go to the store today and pick out the baby's outfit to come home in today. They thought that was pretty cool. Harrison asks daily when he is going to be born.
We are beginning to think he isn't going to come until we decide on a name, which still has not been decided. So we will continue to wait, and wait and wait til he decides its time or I get started and kick him out.

Coming out of Hybernation!!!

OK I am so far behind in blogging it really isn't funny. I have missed Harrison birthday, Weston's broken arm and everything in between. I will have to do a slide show just to catch up. (Check back later for that.)

We here at the Saunders house are so ready for spring and everything that comes with it. Spring cleaning, fresh air and afternoon breezes through the open windows. I think I am excited of most of all is to be able to send the kids out to play and not be couped up in the house all day.

With spring it will also bring our new little guy to our family. He is still our little guy..cause we cannot think of a name that Jeff and I agree on. Jeff's latest is Eoghan pronounced "Owen". If I only have one veto that is where it will be used. I like the names Keaton, Kragen, Donovan, Bennett, and Grayson. Grayson makes me a little nervous of it becoming a girls name later. There are others but I think these are my favorites.

We do know that his middle name will be Phillips which is Jeff's middle name and his father's middle name. So we have 2 month to figure out his poor little guys name.

So if you have any ideas or would like to put your vote in on one of the above names please leave a comment. I want the name to go well with Olivia, Harrison, & Weston. So Harrison, Weston and Bill just doesn't work. Harrison is going for Rex after the big T-Rex himself.

What is your love song?

OK, so I am ready for Valentine's day maybe its cause I never see my Valentine. Well in my play list below are love songs, but there are 2 songs that actually mean something. The song "When I see you smile"-by Bad English is mine and Jeff's song. We shared our first dance in his cousin living room to that song while we were dating and then we shared our first dance as husband and wife to that song.

There is also a song titled "Popsicles and Icicles", this song is my parents song from when they were dating. So what is the song that you and your loved one call yours?

OuR HoLiDaY SeAsOn!!

We had a wonderful and busy holiday season, I have finally recovered and I am able to blog about it. Where does the time go? It is now 2010 and I can't believe it!
Due to the weather being so cold and in the single digits, Harrison's preschool teacher decided against the field trip to Christmas Village and instead we went and saw Santa at the Newgate Mall. Yes he is the only boy in his class, besides the teacher's son who is 3.

Harrison was a little nervous to sit on Santa's lap, so brave Weston went with him. Weston of course told him he wanted a Choo Choo with tracks. Harrison asked for a pelican (yes the bird) and Santa said "what are you going to do with a pelican"? "Learn to fish?" Harrison being so shy he just smiled. Later I told Harrison he didn't tell Santa he wanted a toy pelican and what were we going to do if he left a real pelican in our living room? His response "buy some fish".

Christmas eve was fun we spent the evening at Christmas Village among the lights, which is a yearly Christmas eve tradition for my family, but since I am the only one who has carried it on to my family, we took Grandma "C' with us. (It was to cold for Papa).

When we got home and finished baking cookies for Santa we watch "Joy to the world" and open our Christmas eve gifts and the kids put on their new PJS.

Olivia got her Diji which is game system made by Leapster, where we can put her math and spelling words from school into the games so she learns as she plays it awesome and she has had a lot of fun with it. She also got a couple barbies one you can change her make-up and one you change her by putting different wigs on it. I have no idea whats next, Brat dolls you remove there feet to change shoes and now removing one wig to another. Weird!

Harrison got a pelican and thank goodness it was a toy. He also got a Hot Wheels dinosaur race track and has had a lot of fun with it. He also got dinosaur game for the Leapster and is having fun learning more about dinosaurs. Harrison was little sneak this year. Grandma Saunders sent him a dinosaur that you can interact with. It was so big she couldn't wrap it so she put it in like 5 garbage bags. One day I was putting gifts under the tree and notice a hole about the size of a half dollar through all 5 bags. I threatened to send it back to Grandma Saunders in Washington and he would have to wait until we went there to get it, which wouldn't be til summer 2011. (Its the red dinosaur in the back)

Weston got his Choo Choo with tracks and he loves it! He likes that he gets to use a remote to make the train move. His only problem is his sister and brother won't leave him alone when he wants to play with it. He also got a Handy Manny tool box that he thinks is pretty cool.

Jeff and I had a great Christmas and the best of all was we were able to spend more time together as a family. Jeff only had to work 1 job 3 days a week during his 2 weeks off from school. It was nice now we are back to the swing of things and hardly see each other until the weekends. During this time was my big ultra sound at 20 weeks and Jeff was able to go with me. It is for sure that next year at Christmas we will have 3 boys and 1 girl. We are having a little boy. Heaven help Olivia and I. We are even out numbered by the pets 2 boy birds and 2 boys dogs.

We are excited for the new adventures this year will bring us. A new baby in May and in July Olivia will turn 8 and be baptized. I can not believe I will have an 8 year. In September Harrison will start Kindergarten. 2010 will be full of new experiences for our family and we are ready for whatever our Heavenly Father has in store. I think.
